I was at Pack Day yesterday. We include letters written by people and this particular batch was written by children. It got me thinking about your former student. How is he doing?

Hi Txteacher,

Just read your blog about the experiences from poolee through boot camp.  The flash cards made me laugh!  Kev would have jumped out of the car:)!  Our boyo is a lot like your son, quiet, word deprived and absolutely cannot stand the fact that Grandma knows so much about the Marine Corp:).  Rolls his eyes like you would not believe:):).  I tell him it's his Grandpas fault for being a Marine, I just listened and absorbed it all:), and that wasn't so much.  Your blog was so good, it says every thing a "newbie" like myself needs to remember.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that our boyo like yours will become a talker:)  Thanks again for a great read.

Dear txteacher,

Just read your blog "All I Learned".  You mention if the recruit does not purchase their yearbook it is possible to purchase one @ graduation.  I was given to understand that was not possible.  I do not know if our boyo has purchased the book, he is notorious for his style of writing :) he never answers a question :):)  At least he writes once a week:) sometimes the letter is not even signed:)  Thanks for a nice piece of writing.  God Bless and Semper FI'

Dear Txteacher1:  Here is a link with some comments about one of your blogs.  I didn't notice that your credits didn't post; I apologize.  I have edited the post so that the Mommas can link up directly with you.  Thank you for the wonderful thoughts!!

You are something else. You brought tears to my eyes. Made me think of some old pics of both of my grandfathers and of my DAD... And also made me think of how I feel when I think of my son as a Marine, and it blows me away!!!!!
