Could it get any more fun than this?? Great times for our Wounded Heroes!!

WE NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE!! Feel free to share this and help spread the word!!

As most of you know, our Purple Heart Hero Support™, an Outreach Program of, normally serves 200 dinners at Balboa Hospital to our Wounded Heroes every Thursday Night. BUT WE ARE GOING OUT! Relaxation, social interaction and simply having fun plays an important role in getting the lives of recovering military men and women back to normal, while providing a break from the hospital routine. Our heroes will be descending on Knotts Berry Farm not only from Balboa Hospital, but we are also including our heroes from Camp Pendleton and 29 Palms!!! We will be hosting over 300 Wounded Heroes and their families at Knotts Berry Farm Amusement Park on Nov 7TH! All of our PHHS volunteers are as excited as our Marines are!

The past three years, our Purple Heart Hero Support™ program has taken Wounded Heroes to a theme park called Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, California. Because the trip has been such a success three years in a row, Purple Heart Hero Support™ has expanded our invitation to all of our Wounded Warrior Battalions in Southern California. We will be contracting several charter buses for the 12 hour day. We'll be providing breakfast and dinner. This is a day for all of our heroes to get together and to enjoy time with their Marine brothers and their families,

The park gives free admission to Veterans every November, but with the costs of the bus rentals (six or seven 55 passenger wheelchair accessible - 12 hours), breakfast, dinner at Mrs. Knotts Chicken Restaurant it is going to run around $15,000.00. This trip is a great way to treat them to a day of fun and laughter—one to remember for a lifetime! It gives our Heroes an opportunity to get out in the California sunshine, bond with one another and take a break for the day.

Thank you so much for supporting our Heroes!

Just wondering how we're doing.....was looking for one of those handy "bars" that shows where we are in relationship to our goal, but I don't think there is one, so I'll just ask ;>   The trip is not all that far away!

I'm in, Joyce.  "Bought" a couple of seats for our wounded heroes.  I know our family here at MFN will be right behind me ;>

Thank you for your loving leadership on behalf of our wounded heroes and their families.
