She awaits his return in languid repose, ready to growl, then roar to life at his insistent touch...but, no I forgot to run the machine enough to keep the battery charged. It is just a mass of iron and rubber, chrome and petroleum fluids that could again be a motorcycle with proper care. I suppose that will be our first task shared upon his return.

Semper Fidelis..a musing

   No organization is as identified with a phrase as the Marine Corps with its motto, Semper Fidelis. The mention of one evokes a thought of the other. For the first 96 years of its existence the motto of the Corps was First to Fight. Although undoubtedly true, the phrase was weak as a motto.
