"That's rough. Is he pretty new to the unit?  Being the new guy sometimes means getting the worst hours and fewest options. I hope he's able to get his license soon!"

Work hours?

My husband works on the air field, and he goes in at 6 a.m. and is supposed to get off at 5 p.m. but lately they've been keeping him later and later, which wouldn't bother me if he had a ride home, and could let me know before 30 minutes past the time hes sup posed to be off. Is there anything I can do, or anyone I can talk to about this? I can understand keeping them 20 minutes behind but 3 out 5 days a week he doesn't get off until 8 and he's not allowed to call me or anything to let me know…See More

on base housing?

My husband just got station there and we're looking to get on base housing. He's an E2, and I was wondering how long does it take to get into a place (I'm stuck in Florida until we find something). What are the the houses (apartments) like? I read that there's different neighborhoods for different ranks or something like that, is that true?

"West does not have a family day. The students do get time off on Sunday and can spend it with their Family/friends at SOI. There is a PX and dominions. The Tues they graduate there is a quick family brief before graduation."

"mommyof3, is MCT(west) offering a family day the Sunday before graduation? I talk to parents from East & they have one and I was wondering if this was a new Corps wide policy or is this going to be another difference between East & West?"
