Thank You trigirl53. I hope I'm posting this the correct way. New to this. I really need to spend more time on here. A
I do write to my son as much as I can, and that's like several times a week. How about you? He has been in a month already. Can't wait until graduation. I need to order some shirts. Any ideas on where to order?

Enjoy the time with your Marine as much as you can get! This graduation is short but from reading those who went had a good experience. Take in the L.I.N.K.S. class, I believe it's just before graduation. There's lots of Marine Corps information to learn.

My best wishes to your Marine on this last week, the tests and the last hike.. it's a long one.  Here's hoping his MOS is close to you also and not across too many states. :)

Hi there! Thank you for your nice message! My son graduated PI in April and is now stationed in Okinawa. We miss him a ton especially with Christmas on the way. Looking forward to the support from other marine moms and dads.

Thank You Trigirl53.

I have been going through a lot of emotions just like any other Marine Parent would. My Son left on Monday for San Diego. I So proud of him. He has been wanting to go since the 6th grade. He was in ROTC all 4 years in High school. The guy is amazing. Go Michael.

Thank you, again, Trigirl53 for the kind response.  I am sitting tight as I have not yet heard a word from my son who left Monday for Boston, MA to travel to MCRD Parris Island on Tuesday.  I went onto the main "official" website and there is a chance that he is STILL in Boston awaiting his departure.  As a mother I think:  Well, he basically left with the clothes on his back....if he is detained....what the heck is he changing into?  You know...stuff mom's think about.  Thank you so much for your kindness and understanding....I cannot express how appreciative I am.  God Bless you and your Recruit.  Peace.  :-)

Thank you for the warm welcome Trigirl53 - it's very much appreiciated.  My son left the recruiters office yesterday and today is the day he leaves for Parris Island to start boot camp.  The emotion for the past couple of days was not expected on my part; I cannot stop crying.  He's my baby but I know - he will make a wonderful Recruit and future Marine.  I just had to find a group to help me with this.  Thank you and God Bless you and Yours.  ~ Lory
