"You might also consider getting a close friend of his to check on him if he won't communicate directly with you.  I agree with Kathi, the Chaplain is a great way to get someone with training in PTSD to talk with him and not have it go up…"

Need some advice about my son

My son returned from deployment in December.  He survived a traumatic incident.  He seemed to be doing fine at first.  But now I am not so sure.    He lives on the other side of the country so I rarely get to see him.  He is pulling away from everyone including his girlfriend. To post a message in any topic/discussion you need to "Join the group" - there's a link in the top cream-colored bar, to the right near your username and the log-out spot.  Click to 'join' the group.  Once you've joined the group, then look for 'add a discussion' at the bottom of the topic titles to start a new topic or click on any topic to ‘reply’ to the ongoing discussion.
