Watching a new depart

Hello all,  My Marine will be heading out on a meu this fall from the west coast.  Was wondering if anyone had been out to see one depart.  I'm looking for guidance as to where to stay and how long to allow.  Thanks.  FrancesSee More

Yes, my son was began MECEP in January, 2011, and graduated from Embry Riddle in August, 2012.  Then he graduated TBS last March, maybe April.  Now he is off to other things at Camp Pendleton.

He doesn't ship until Jan 14, he is working for USC in the meantime. He would have loved to go earlier, this limbo thing is rough.
