Hi Debra,  Quantico is about three hours from our home - it really is a great area to be stationed in!  Our son was told today that he will stay at 29 palms.  We are so sad.  We miss him so incredibly much.  He is being assigned as a data network specialist to an infantry unit.  I don't really know what this means.  Would you happen to know what this means??

Debra

It was Nick, Wendy B's son and he is doing better. He will have a long road to recovery, but the doctor's are amazed how well he is doing. Wendy messaged me last week to tell me this. Here is her profile page http://marinefamilynetwork.com/profile/wendyb

Then on the left side you can request friendship and send you prayers to her and Nick.

I am sure that she would love to hear from all of you. She said I could relay her message onto all of you. Keep him in your prayers. "wolfdragon" put up a bet that he would be riding a bicycle one day. He is a Marine and was award his EGA. Thank you for your concern.

Hi Debra. I sure hope your son gets picked up next week. What is his first name? I'll remember him in my prayers. My son just found out today (finally) where he'll be heading after MCT. He knew he was combat vehicle repair, but not which machines. He found out it's light infantry, and he'll be in Ft. Lee, VA. It's not quite what he wanted (he was hoping for the Abrams Tank & Georgia), but since it's Virginia he'll at least be a little closer to home here in PA. I've already printed off the directions! I was really bummed today when I learned he won't be here for Christmas, even though I knew it was unlikely all along. It's just good he finally is getting back to training. SAC was driving him nuts, even though he was sick. Was your son in holding due to illness or injury? I know there can be other reasons, too. Well, I just wanted to respond to your friend request. I am so grateful for all the friends I've made on this site. It's made all the difference.

Best wishes,

Crystal

Military persons might be just what she needs to encourage her. That may be a good idea. I would say, yes, let them write to her. I will tell Susan, but FYI, anytime you want to contact someone else, just click on their profile photo and it will take you to their page. Also, I find that if I "bookmark" pages it helps me get around. haha  Thanks for all of your help.

Good question Debra????

We don't want to overwhelm her, but they all need mail. I wonder if it would put extra pressure on her for the rest of phase III and the crucible?  I even sent her a letter and told her that Susan had told us about her not getting mail and that she should expect some letters from the "Group family" on MFN.  Maybe we need to check with Susan or maybe wait and see if she writes someone back??  Click on Susan's profile photo and ask her. I will do the same.

The Dress Blues is now included with their Uniform Issue, they do not need to purchase them on their own or separately.  He can however purchase for him Idiozed buttons for the Dress Blues Coat and a higher quality Dress Blues Cover and case.  Please thank your friend for his Service for me.
