BirdManOfCT commented on Marine Parents Inc's group MOS Occ Field 06: Communications
"I agree with Keri -- it's good if they get involved with work parties. Sometimes they start class in 3 day, in which case they don't have to worry, but sometimes they don't start for 3 months, in which case it's good to keep them…"

BirdManOfCT replied to catwoma62's discussion baggage at the airport in the group SOI East: Marine Combat Training (MCT)
"I'm pretty sure they allow very heavy bags. Our son's bags were heavy. Might want to call the airline and see, especially since each airline has their own rules, unless someone else knows."

BirdManOfCT replied to Momof2boys's discussion Not sure what to expect -- feel lost in the group MOS Occ Field 06: Communications

BirdManOfCT replied to Pree4ever's discussion Graduation in the group SOI East: Marine Combat Training (MCT)

BirdManOfCT replied to Pree4ever's discussion Graduation in the group SOI East: Marine Combat Training (MCT)
"We went to our son's in November 2012 (just over a year ago). It was short, maybe 20 minutes or so. That was after they have to wait 20-30 minutes after it was supposed to start. Still, was worthwhile if you can do it. They also had a small…"

Have you sent the questionaires to your Recruit? You can find them in red at the top of the discussion Boot Camp Communications. You can make up short answer question for him too. Sometimes they just are so tired or so overwhelmed  they have no idea what to write. We think that they should remember but it doesn't always work that way. I think you will find if you do the  questionaire  & a SASE you will get results. Good Luck
