Recruit Being Sent Home?

Hi my boyfriend shipped on May 8th, it's only been about a week and a half and we got a call today from him that he will be sent home in the next couple weeks but no reason was given. I left a message for the recruiter but he has not responded to me in general since my boyfriend shipped...
