That means that I’m a volunteer at Marine Parents.com. My job title is Chat Room Moderator and my responsibilities are to host the 3/3 Battalion weekly deployment chats. My mission is to welcome newcomers, help chatters get the answers they are hoping for, keep the conversation going in a positive direction, protect the operational security of our deployed Marines by ensuring our chats stay on the right side of the OpSec rules, and hopefully create the type of environment that 3/3 families want to visit for comfort and support -- and a good belly laugh now and then.

. . . Girl Scout Cookies!
That's right, there is Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall, and then there is . . . Girl Scout cookie season!
In our house, the first sighting of those card tables set up in front of every grocery, drug store and coffee place, piled high with Tag-a-Longs, Shortbread, Do-Si-Dos, Thin Mints, and the deadly but delicious Samoas is a time of rejoicing, a herald of…

If left to myself, I'd be writing and writing and run out of space and still wouldn't have gotten all my thoughts out of my system. I read something here and words start assembling in my head, an…
