Every year, the 4th Sunday in September is set aside to honor our country's Fallen Heroes and to show our support for their families.

Please consider taking the pledge to light some luminaries at your home on this evening.

Outreach Programs

The mission of Marine Parents is two-fold: to educate and support Marine Corps families and their Marines, and to encourage community awareness for troop support. Our various outreach programs help us to realize that goal as we develop and fund outreach programs when needs of Marines and their family members are identified. We are unique in that we bring those services into the communities for the general public to participate in the troop support.

The links to pages and groups below are for the MarineParents.com Outreach Programs and our fundraising initiatives.  Please join a group to stay up-to-date on the outreach programs in which you are participating.

Warrior Support Team™-
our Warrior Support Team™ (WST) strives to provide resources and fellowship to wounded, ill, and injured troops and veterans, including those living with post-traumatic stress, as well as to provide resources and support to family members.

WST volunteers continue to serve meals, assist at events, provide resources to enhance the comfort of patients, and distribute educational materials at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, and the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. We are also exploring other ways to meet the needs of wounded, ill, and injured military and their families in different locations across the country.

Team Marine Parents™ -Team Marine Parents™ is composed of teams of individuals nationwide that participate in walks, runs, marathons, bicycling, triathlons, swimming, motorcycle runs, and other events nationwide. The goal of Team Marine Parents™ is to promote an awareness of "Support Our Troops" in communities around the United States through participation in and donations to troop support programs from MarineParents.com.

Gold Star Family Support™ -
We offer private services to Gold Star Families, those that have lost their son or daughter during active duty with the Marine Corps. Meeting and communicating with families who understand the pain and grief can help. We give them that opportunity, no matter where they are in the world, on a private message board and with an annual gathering. Access to this area is limited to Gold Star families only.

Operation PAL™ -Operation Prayers and Letters™ is a project that supports our troops who have been injured. We work with families to setup a private mailing address for the injured service member. People, church groups, and school children around the US add the wounded troops to prayer lists as well as write cards and letters which we forward in huge envelopes to the wounded heroes wherever they are rehabbing. The morale boost is incredible!
