MarineParents: Marine Family Network (MFN)

An Outreach Program of

Posting Guidelines

The Philosophy:
MFN (Marine Family Network) is brought to you by, Inc., an IRS approved 501(c)(3) public charity.  Our mission is to provide a safe and informational Place to Connect & Share® for Marine Corps families. Since 2003, we have established high standards for both safety of our troops and accuracy of information shared; The Guidelines promote that. With so many social networks available that have little understanding of OpSEC or military, our mission is more critical than ever. Military families need to communicate with one another in environments free of rumors, misinformation, or fears that someone else may share something that could potentially harm our Marines and recruits.

With that shared philosophy, we welcome you to a Place to Connect & Share®. Whether you've got a recruit in bootcamp or a Marine in active duty or reserves, privacy and troop security is important and The Guidelines will educate you and provide you with the tools you need to safely share with others.
When using the Marine Family Network for posting any written word, photos or videos, the user agrees to follow The Guidelines as set forth by Guidelines and this agreement are subject to change without notice and user should periodically review the guidelines and this agreement to assure compliance.
These guidelines were written to keep you, the military family, informed and alert regarding safety and security. Thank you for being a part of keeping our Marines and their families safe.

The message boards of are public. All posts are moderated by our trained volunteers. To maintain Operations Security (OpSEC), privacy and personal safety, the following guidelines are to be followed when writing a post for the message board communities of The same guidelines apply to conversations in the chat rooms.
