Comment by JMACK on May 17, 2012 at 6:21am: I would like to offer support and prayers to the family of Sgt. Wade D. Wilson of Normangee, Texas for their loss. Sgt. Wilson was with the 2/5 serving in Helmand Province of Afghanistan. He passed from this life May 11th. I know the Lord has accepted this Marine into his fold of many Brothers.

Comment by recruitmomma62 (Karen) on May 6, 2012 at 3:48pm: The phone call finally came on Thursday morning. I had given up by then and put my phone back on silent so it went to voice mail. Now I'm actually glad it did because I was able to forward the clip In a text message to his father, godmother, girlfriend, and some of his close friends who were all excited to hear his voice. He sounded "normal" and all business as usual, which made me feel wonderful. Got me out of my daze and gave me a big burst of energy!

Last about 20 seconds and I could not even understand my son he was yelling so loud. We are here to help and be a shoulder to lean on. And you will go through bootcamp like your son. I remember my days started by looking at the schedule and seeing what he might be doing that day. Family Day and Graduation Day will be days you never forget. Welcome and Semper Fi

He has been a Poolee since August 2, so we have all had plenty of time to adjust to his leaving. Now, I am waiting for that famous first phone call when he arrives at the MCRD. So glad I found this website. It will be a blessing in the weeks and months to come.

I thought it was because they won, but he called to tell me he fractured his knee:'( That was the last thing i wanted to hear. So now he will be out for around two weeks, and get a new platoon. I did get to hear his voice and tell him I loved him.
