My Marine visited Arlington and saw the changing of the guard during a field trip with his Jr. ROTC group last school year.  He said it was the high point of his trip.  My husband and I still have it on our bucket list!

Ohh, you will miss it by a week. Maybe next year.

Keri- that would be humbling to take part in. I am here until Friday morning. Working all day at the airport tomorrow.

Bless you Doug. What a very, humbling experience to go to Arlington and see the guard change.
How long are you going to be there? According to this article, there's a call for volunteers to remove all of the wreaths.

This would be a great experience too... placing wreaths and helping to remove them too.

As I walked thru the Arlington National Cemetery today, I had a tear in my eye. God bless those that have died for our freedom. The changing of the guard is something everyone should see. It was windy and cold and those young men did not miss a beat

My Marine was picked up yesterday.  Fox Company, 4th Platoon.  He wasn't able to tell us which class he'll be in before they had them turn in their phones.  So happy he got picked up without any waiting, because he takes after both his parents in the patience (or lack thereof!) category.  :)

It looks like we have 1/13 start for Fox Co. and 1/13 start for India. I can add India to the title. Last year some Marines went to train with ITB for their 4 weeks.
Must be a lot of Marines reporting.

So nice you received a call Motherslove14. :)
