Marines usually get access to their phones weekends. Just keep sending him messages (texts). :) It helps too to befriend the wife. You get updates. :)
My Marine is married too...

Thanks Keri, hopefully I will hear something sometime. If not I will keep checking this message board. He's a married Marine, I won't get the form letter. I am just mom.

Pick up date may be a different date than the date your Marine reports or checks in to SOI. Sometimes there may be a wait to start training.
Your Marine is your best source to let you know when they begin training then you can do an approximate calculation for graduation date.

Since there's no schedule, you can only guess an approximate graduation date. From reading other member's, a form letter is mailed about a week before graduation.

So for Mike Co from PI checking today, the graduation would be Thursday, July 31, is that correct?

You might ask your Marine about the date if it might be posted in the squad bay.

Look for a letter about 1 week before graduation. I know this isn't much time for preparing but... hoping for the best. :)
Usually hotels will allow you to cancel up to 24 hours. Once that day gets closer, you may have a better idea of what to expect.
Marines usually don't get 'off' for holidays like the 4th. That is usually only for those in the fleet. (PDS)

The link I provided has some good training info too if you want to read through their discussion. They liked to discuss what their Marines were doing. :)

seldom do holidays at ITBn affect graduation. Christmas is the only one that I'm aware of affecting graduation, or if graduation would fall on the holiday. Keri can give more recent information.

So, if he is "off" for July 4th would that have him graduating on a Friday? Counting the days, he would be graduating on a Thursday but if he is off any days for the 4th does that extend it? Sorry for the confusion but trying to plan ahead. And I know that he will be the final source for his graduatong date. Again, thanks

Training is 59 days from pick up to graduation barring any holidays in between. :)
There's a parent meeting (L.I.N.K.S.) class the day before.
See L.I.N.K.S. for parents on the right of this page.

Congrats to your new Marine and best wishes in this round of his training,

pickus are normally on Tuesdays, with graduations on Thursdays.

Couple of questions if anyone knows.  My son reports 6-2-14.  Is that the "pick up" date or will it be 6-3?  Does the 59 days start on 6-2 or 6-3?  Is graduation on Thursdays or Fridays?  Thanks
