My son told me that Friday night they had a special Birthday meal. Steak and mushrooms and cake and ice cream for dessert.

CAPE CORAL, Fla.- It's a story you'll see only on WINK News. A mystery in Cape Coral. We all know that sinking feeling when something we value goes missing. Today, what was lost is now found, except for the object's owner.

You're so welcome ProudMadre and Michelle!

Michelle, here is the 03xx Infantry forum where you will find a discussion on SF. It's the one with many replies.

Good to hear class has started. A month isn't too long. Some MOS groups, Marines have waited longer. They definitely get a lesson in patience. :)

Hi Everyone!  My son left Camp Geiger in September and had a month delay before he started training in Virginia.  I guess the delays are pretty common now but I thought a month was a really long time.  He wanted to come home but wasn't allowed.  He just started MOS training last week and he put in paperwork to come home for 3 days in the beginning of November.  We are hoping it gets approved!  He is really enjoying his training and we are so anxious to see what is next after 6 weeks.

I would also like to say thank you to Keri and everyone on this website.  I could not of made it through boot camp and beyond without all your support.  :)

Thank you, Keri, in advance, for helping us in this new phase of our lives. Without Nanny's help during boot camp it would have been really difficult. So, I really appreciate what you do. Thanks, too, to all parents who join us. Every single post makes me feel that being a marine parent is being part of the brotherhood.

Congrats to your Marine gcmill!! She is one tough Marine! I wish her well through her SOI training.

My daughter is in Infantry Training in A Company and she is enthusiastic and is enjoying learning all of the skills she needs to be successful. She had to wait a bit in Lima company as well. That was pretty much dead time and was boring. She spent her time constructively by working out and keeping in top shape. She is not having any trouble though she said that the entire training challenges her constantly. I am so proud of her! :-)

Hi everyone. I'm joining ITB Bravo Co discussion forum. My son was in Camp Geiger a week in advance. He is excited about next training phase.
