L.I.N.K.S. for families - Search LINKS Comprehensive Handbook to see the 188 pg handbook. The link will say MCCS Camp Pendleton but it's the same for everyone. It's the first link to come up in a search. I can't post the link because it's not a .gov or .mil site and these are the only links that can be posted.

Read this about PDS assignment after graduation (Reply by showmestate):

"They leave almost immediately for their PDS. Command at SOI at the time said they like to keep East coast guys east so the majority go to Lejeune for PDS, but it is the need of the Corps and some will go to CA or HI. It just depends on what unit needs bodies when graduation time comes. "

Does anyone know if MOS affects what PDS they could get?

Hi, I ended up calling the phone number for SOI and they said to definitely use the Camp Lejeune address even though they are Camp Geiger.  It has the box number mentioned in Zackfamily's message below, and I was told that even though it is a box number, you still send the packages there.  Put your son's name, platoon number, and the company on it, and don't send packages that require a signature, just like the rule for boot camp.

Hope this was helpful.

"...The mail runs through the main mailroom at camp Lejuene then gets filtered to Geiger..."

My thoughts... Without the PSC number it could take even longer.

the mailing address should read Camp Lejeune

in civilian terms

Camp Lejeune would be the city

Camp Geiger would be the neighborhood

I sent a package about a week ago to an address that our Marine gave us, it was to Camp Geiger. He did not received the package, when I tracked the package on-line it was delivered to Camp Lejeune.  I called the mail room on Camp Geiger, and the person I spoke to said that as long as I had this box number

(PSC Box xxx61) (which we did not) on the package it would get to them.  He did say that he would track our Marine down to get the package to him, but we haven't heard if he has received it yet or not.  Confusing.

For the address for ITB, when I look at the website it says Camp Lejeune, NC, not Geiger.  Is that correct?

Comment by Leia on February 10, 2015 at 9:06am

Hi, How do we know what company and graduation date?  Will their company be the one they graduated from boot camp?

Thank you.

Hi All, just wondering if anyone here has a Marine in Alpha Co, 1st platoon?   ( graduation date of 3-5-15 )

Comment by Zackfamily on February 4, 2015 at 10:06am

LazyK-Chyn, I think I found the correct date.  Looks like Graduation for Charlie Company will be 2 April.  Thank you!
