Comment by Rachel 3 hours ago I am just going through the start of my Fiance leaving for Marine Boot Camp, he left May 20th. Yes our men are not yet Marines they are recruits but either way we are missing them just as much. I want to get a group of people to support eachother during these 3 LONG months. Please Like my Facebook page, the more Likes we can get the more support we will have! Will Update daily. I just started this page, so it's just getting started. I'm missing my man alot and would like to hear how all of you are dealing with everything. I have a 3 year old and a baby on the way (11 weeks).

Comment by chelemybelle 14 hours ago My husband said I'm stronger than I think I am. I have my days and now that he just started MCT for 29 days I feel like I'm back in boot camp days. No communication til Sunday, when he has some liberty time. He started on Tuesday (left on Monday though) so it's not quite a week but still. I HATE not being able to talk to him! And we decided not to write letters this time since he was able to take his phone, he can just read emails so that's how I write to him every day. Plus, they'll be in the field for a lot of that time so he wouldn't get a letter right way anyways. Soo here I am waiting for Sunday for a phone call! I can't wait!! Only if it's 5 minutes long it's worth it!! This is definitely the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I'm glad my sister-in-law found this website cuz it's nice to know there's others going through the same thing!
Comment by proudofmyMarine 15 hours ago chelemybelle, i can completely relate!!! we've been together for 3.5 years and worked together and lived together. so to go from almost 24/7 time around each other with the occasional week away for research, this transition to only letters once a week has been really difficult. but its surprising how much stronger i am than i thought i would be during this process. i can't wait for July 13th!!!!
