Here are a few good blogs and advice from other girlfriends of recruits and wives of Marines.
As Tiger'sGirl has said, each person's experience may be different but these blogs are a good place to start.

Welcome, Kacee! If you read through some of the old posts, you'll find lots of advice and comments from ladies who have been in the same position as you. My main recommendations is "Be Flexible." You can learn tons from this website about the Marine Corps and how things usually work, but everyone's experience is a little different.

Does anyone have any advice for a girlfriend who is really new to this experience? My boyfriend just swore in and I'm nervous. I have been told so many negative things about dating someone in the marines. If anyone has any information they found out and wish they had known at he beginning it would be really helpful. Thanks!

Be sure to look through the groups under general categories, like the general topics and family day and graduation and follow those groups too. Lots of good information!

Thanks so much Keri and Alex2toes. I found the groups and have joined one, waiting patiently for approval to the other two. Phew! Yay!
