Hi Sarah,

I assume your recruit is at Parris Island?  Liberty Sunday is the Sunday after they finish the Crucible.  They are Marines and will have earned some "liberty" (freedom).  The new Marines will be able to make phone calls.

When you write a letter to your recruit, it would be nice for you to include a self-addressed stamped envelope to make it quicker and easier for him to write to you.  You may want to include a couple of those.  Make sure the envelope you send to him is plain white and not too bulky.

Hi what does Liberty Sunday mean? Also when I write a letter am I supposed to put

an envelope and my address on it so he can use it?

Have his mother call the recruiter and tell him that you have not received the "form letter" and he can check on it for her. Now it may cause him some "unwanted attention" because they are suppose to send those form letters out, but he only sends one form out and whom he chooses is up to him? Could there be some other family member that he chose to send it to?

I did that I put a self addressed envelope in every letter I sent but the pics they posted today of 2154 or which ever one it was I saw a guy that looked just like my boyfriend so I'm starting to wonder if he's in the platoon 2151.

Keep writing those letters. He will get them as long as you have the Name, the platoon# and the company.

Marine sort, deliver hundreds of pounds of mail daily (opens in another window).

The mail will catch up to him. Try sending a letter with a self addressed stamped envelope inside, that will help him to respond quicker.

Still no letter :'( i hope he is getting my letters. My boyfriend is in 2151. we have 2 addresses for him but when his mom got the form letter he wrote a different address then what his recruiter gave us so we started using the one he gave us but still nothing. i still want to send letters but i dont want to send to the wrong address. what do i do. think some people who have someone in 2151 have gotten a letter. me and his mom havent.
