Anybody get a letter yet from platoon 2017 ?

I think typos abound. Our son's letter said Platoon 2088. His writing on the outside said 2016. If it had not been for this awesome website (and Momma Hen) I would have went with 2088. I did confirm Platoon 2016 with the recruiter.

Robin380 I am not sure about the date mix up. Everything I have says March 7.

I would call your recruiter and ask.

Please let us know what you find out.

Thank you,

Susan (1~Momma Hen)

Good Morning Folks!

It is T4 and we are all sitting on eggs! Letters are starting to trickle in and the excitement has begun! An early holiday present :-)

As you can see on the matrix, your recruits will be participating in some 880 yard interval runs and some cardio conditioning by running through the cardio conditioning course. The Follow series will run this twice today and the Lead series will run it tomorrow.

All of this physical conditioning is getting them ready for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and the Combat Fitness Test (CFT), both of which need to be passed in order to graduate.

Your recruits will spend sometime in classroom sessions today learning the History of the Marines Corps from 1775-1897. They will also be starting the first of many CVGD (Core Values Guided Discussion) sessions in which they will discuss the topic of Personal Values.

I have to say that one of the things that amazed me was the wealth of information my son had in his head about the Corps. He walked us through the Marine Corps Museum (please don't miss this when you are on base) and he told us, in detail, about every mission that we were reading about. It was incredible!

You can bet that when your recruits are not busy doing these other things they are drilling and getting to know their DIs likes and dislikes very well!

I hope letters arrive today!

Keep writing positive letters to your recruits. You can send them as soon as you get their address.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions and have a great Friday!

I know a lot can happen between now and then but my fiance and I had planned our wedding around the information my son had told us

But does it state a graduation date?
