This week's graduation is scheduled to be webcasted live from Parris Island as part of an equipment capabilities test. You can watch the graduation beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, via the Defense Visual Information Distribution System's website:

Marine Corps Recruit Training Graduation

Courtesy Webcast | DVIDS Hub | Date: 02.14.2014 | Start Time: 8:55AM EST | End Time: 10:05AM EST

Nearly 600 newly minted United States Marines will graduate from recruit training from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina. For 13 weeks, the male and female recruits of Companies I and O stayed committed during some of the world's most demanding entry-level military training in order to be transformed from civilian to Marine instilled with pride, discipline and the core values of honor, courage and commitment.

Scheduled from Feb 14 2014 8:55 AM EST to Feb 14 2014 10:05 AM EST

(NOTE: Since this is a test and Parris Island doesn't own the equipment being tested, there are no plans to webcast future graduations at this time. Also, the video will not be available for download or watching at a later time.

The weather here is not bad light rain and temp in upper 30s but we r on the edge of the ice forecast. Like posted earlier any info about event cancellation or location changes will be on PI Facebook page. They all ran past us from the parade deck to the all weather center to practice for family day.

They have eating places on base. The Lyceum is probably the best place to eat, as it is large and buffet style. They have picnic areas, but that will depend on the weather.

They say that the old "Backyard Burgers" has been made into an indoor picnic area. It is right across from the Museum.

If the weather is bad, they will have graduation inside the All weather bldg. (The same bldg. as the Liberty Ceremony on Thursday) and any changes should be on the official MCRD FB page. OR, you can call the base for information.

prddad... so glad that you got to see your new Marine.
