In November we have one day for giving thanks, two for getting deals and a day to give back. Be a part of this global celebration of generosity by joining Marine Parents today as we make it a happy holiday season for our Marines.   Read here what your gift does for our Warriors:

Hi all - I just found this group!  My daughter is stationed at Parris Island - her MOS is music - she's a clarinet player in the band.  I visited last month and what an awesome experience to have her giving me a tour!

Parris Island and Beaufort SC is really pretty country, and it is the south so he will get a taste of Southern Hospitality. He should enjoy it

Thanks for the feedback...all good for me to keep in mind.

His MOS is Financial Management.

He did his bootcamp at MCRD San Diego so this is his first time at Parris Island.  All of this is new to me and just trying to get as much information as possible.

How long he will be there is really based on the needs of the Corps and his MOS. Depending on what he does he could complete his contract there or he may be needed somewhere else before then. Remember, Semper Gumby.

It will depend on his MOS and of course the famous "Needs of the Corps".  He should have some indication in his orders. They try their best to get off that Island and he ends up back there. What's his MOS?

Parris Island is my son's first PDS. Will he be here the entire time or is this a 1-2year and then on to someplace else?

Hi everyone !
Please check out this link to vote for a Sgt. in the Marine Corps for American Hero of the Year. The deadline for voting is just a few days (Sept. 6) from now. The Sgt. is one of five finalists for American Hero of the Year and the only Marine::
Thank you!
