Welcome Sharleen! I found it really good to read ahead too. Do read through the discussion forums above, especially this one. Looks like lots to learn. http://marinefamilynetwork.com/group/mos57/forum/topics/new-to-chem...

My best wishes with prayers when your son begins his recruit training.

The March class picks up on the 23rd. If your son is lucky it won't be full and he will make it. Otherwise it looks like he will pick up May 11th.

If he has to wait until June he will be in the MAT or Marine Awaiting Training platoon. He will be on working parties, drilling, pting and lots and lots of cleaning. It's a hard state to be in for a long time.

thank you alyssa. where can I find the pick up schedule. i have seen it somewhere but this is all so confusing. What is the March start up date. so many questions lol... what will he be doing while waiting till june?

Your son will likely miss the March start up for CBRN. The next class after that will pick up on mid June. He will likely pick up then.
