My best wishes to your Civilian Marine bill and many thanks for his time served. Hope he is transitioning well.

Stop by our After the Corps groups if you should have questions or comments for the civilian side of the Corps.

So like a flash my son's 4 yrs expired in August and now he is back in college and kicking butt:) All I can say is time flies. Even though his primary MOS was motor T mechanic, he found more of a home on the marksmanship range and added a CMT Combat Marksmanship Trainer MOS.  Prolly spent 85% of his time there. The skills he acquired are incredible and are already serving him well in college... very well.

So, for all the folks wondering whats what and why all the waiting... it's good to see nothing has changed.  And it won't.  Have your young men enjoy the journey, stay out of trouble and make the best of waitin' around.  That's just the way it is.

The coming few years will offer incredible growing up opportunities and will never be forgotten.  As a parent, It will be fun to sit back and observe.  Don't worry.  You really don't want to know anyhoo.

This is prolly my last post here. USMC done but not forgotten.

3531 is Motor Vehicle Operator, and I think that school is at Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri. Can't tell you why the transfer from Rifleman to Motor Vehicle Operator.

Comment by cbessa on September 27, 2016 at 3:32pm
