Some others?

Because Ft Lee is an Army base with a Marine detachment we do not have a discussion group specific to Ft Lee supporters, so it looks like you have started one.

Oh dear Richard,

I feel so lonely! Lets see if someone else is around! Did I do something wrong?

Wrong????? you raised a Marine    LOL

My son is in Fort Lee right now at least through Feb. 23rd.  Richard is right... you did nothing wrong, you've raised a Marine.  I know the feeling of feeling so lonely.  I have kept in touch with alot of the marine parents from his boot camp/platoon and it is great to talk with them, but their Marines are all at Camp Pendelton or getting ready to go overseas to their PDS.  I really haven't met anyone whose got one at Fort Lee to keep in contact with.  So glad you started this one.  I am from TX. My Marine graduated boot on September 16th and is almost finished with his MOS.

Hello Marine Moms, or Moms of Marines, or whatever we are. Moms whose hearts continue to bounce around the US, and are right now at Ft. Lee, VA! My son just arrived there two weeks ago, and started his classes this week. He graduated boot camp on Nov 4. He's now studying Light Armored Vehicle Repair. Do your sons talk about getting done and getting deployed like it would be the best thing on earth? THAT makes me really sad, and scared.

Mine doesn't.  He is small arms repair and is in as reserve so can go to school and re-enlist in few years and go back in as higher rank due to having a decree.  My son will be done in about 3 wks and will be done at his reserve base.  I can't wait to see him!!!

Hello, My son has been at Fort Lee, Virginia since January 31, 2011. Just waitin gto be picked up for his MOS, which is 2161, Machinist. He has to wait till 3 more show up. They don't the school till there is four people. So now its just a waiting game. At least he is rooming with other 2161's.  Kinda took him under there wing. That put a smile on my face.

Don't know if anybody has a mailing address for Fort Lee. I have found alot of different ones, just not sure what is correct. I know his Co. name and his platoon number, just not the address.  Can someone help me.  Thank You

Yes, he will be at home going to college.  Not sure what he plans on studying but sure it will have to do with something for his Marine career he has chosen. My son originally wanted to be active, but ex-husband would not allow it as he was 17 when he signed so we had to both sign for him to enlist. I was supportive either way and he definitely knows he has 110% support from me in him being a Marine and choosing his career in the military.

Kristen,

So your son is going to school at home? What is he planning to study? I like the idea to be in the reserves and re-enlist, but when my son signed up, he didn't want it like that. Well, we only have to support them right? everyone is different.

Have a nice weekend! ;)

Your best bet on what his exact address is would be to have him find out and text/email it to you. You can send packages to him while at his MOS.  I have sent mine a few already. Can't wait for him to be home the end of this month.

ProudUSMCmom,

Thank you for checking in. Great having you here! :)

My son is also waiting for his school start. Meanwhile, he's here at home on RA. He was in VA for a month and them they decided to send him here to work at the recruiting office.

It's true what kristen10 says, your son is the best source to find out what his address is. But all the addresses are not the same because they are all in different companies.
