Welcome to any new family members to this Field 11xx forum

I've placed the LeJeune Utilites website in the information section above for easy access.

Best wishes for your Marines through their training. My thoughts and prayers for all of your Marines who have moved on to their PDS.

Here is a link for you to checkout-http://www.mces.marines.mil/Units/UtilitiesInstructionCo.aspx

Under the for students tab you will find the course schedule.

Hope this helps you!

Dee-
Mos graduation is nothing like boot camp graduation. Graduation lasted no more than an hour or so. I asked my husband who is 1142 and went to courthouse bay for schooling and he said, "he thinks it does happen the same day of week." But depends when your schooling starts. Liberty depends on the staff or the people in charge of the school. I know when my husband was there he got to leave on Friday and return Sunday by a certain time. I know the weekend right before graduation they didn't let them leave off base. I'm not sure how it is now.. Things could be different, since that was 2 years ago.

Not sure about a ceremony for this MOS but I think most have something.
My Marine graduated from Ft. Leonard Wood. The ceremony lasted less than an hour - kind of like a high school graduation where the graduates sat in one side and family on the other side. There were the speeches then the graduates walking across the stage to receive their badges. (MP school)
There was no family day. We were lucky to get a few hours with him the evening before graduation before he needed to report back.

Maybe someone who attended or has had a Marine graduate from this MOS will share their experience.

Could someone tell me what graduation from MOS is like? Are there any family days? Do they always happen on the same day of the week? Do they get any liberty/leave around graduation?

And - about when into their MOS training do they find out where their PDS is?

@Jon's Mom & Dad, my son graduated boot in June 2013 with MOS "Hygiene Equipment operator" (water treatment) and went to Camp Lejeune.  He graduated from MOS school and is now in Japan.  I wish your son the best!!

If you don't see a group or it's not too recent, you can always add your own by clicking + Add a Discussion.
Here is some:

Looks like you need to change your profile from recruit to Marine. Just click settings, scroll down to check 'Active Duty Marine' then scroll down some more to 'save.' :)

Reading ahead during the quiet days of MCT. :) I did that too. Best of luck with prayers through MCT. Your Marine is most likely enjoying blowing things up this week.

Can you point me in the direction of the group for utilities 1141?

I don't see 1170. I'm guessing it may be included with 1171.
Here is the school site: http://www.mces.marines.mil/Units/UtilitiesInstructionCo.aspx
