My son graduated on June 16, 2014 as a Cannoneer (0811) and we weren't able to make it. Just wondering if anyone took pics or if there was a graduation pamphlet that had everyone's name in it.  Also tried to find out if anything was published in the Lawton Constitution and Cannoneer and I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know if there was something published in another paper? Tried online to but nothing.

It was only a course schedule for 2011 and probably no longer available. Here's the Ft. Lee and the Marine Detachment sites:

1~Kerri- just tried to access your linked Pdf's from August 30th and the link no longer works.  Is this info anywhere else? Thanks!

our son just shipped out to Fort Sill yesterday.  It sounds like there will be a delay in his training starting up.  Did anyone else have a son ship out yesterday for MOS 0811?  How long do they usually have to wait for classes to start?

I haven't been able to find anything on PPE. Your Marine may need to rely on first hand information on this.
My thanks to your Marine's service now and in the future too.

Our son's MOS is 0811.  He is with a reserve unit and will be training at a different location before going to Ft. Sill. What kinds of hearing protection would your marines in this MOS recommend to get?  I have read that hearing loss is a big problem with artillery units and that double protection is much better than just earplugs alone as long as they fit under the kevlar (which I guess is the helmet).  Trying to find out what is supplied by the USMC at Fort Sill and what others have purchased on their own that worked for them (specific brand and model).  Where would you purchase these PPE, online or in a store so you can try it on?  Your comments are very much appreciated. Thanks!
