My son said he thinks his class should start around March 6th is what they told him..but he's hoping to get picked up sooner..have been there since Jan 6th...

He also said that about 140 more students arrived the other day.... all just waiting to start school and are super bored...lol

My son just arrived yesterday with a large group, he said the same thing about March.  But, if son has already been there and waiting....  I wonder how long did it take for your son to be 'bored'?  Matt said that he was looking forward to just being assigned jobs around the base for a little bit.

My son is there now in Bravo and thinks he starts Feb. 23rd. and runs for about 47 days.

it took him about a month...good thing is his sister is in the Navy and stationed in San Diego.. when they had that last 96 he stayed with her... there isn't really much to do..unless you have a car.. from what I hear... he did say something about a single Marine thing were they do trips and stuff...he missed last one but they went to Disney World...or is Land in CA...I don't remember...

got a call last night and son said they told him and some others to pack there stuff up...because they might get picked up for a class today... here's hoping so....woot woot...

Mine stayed at Camp P after MCT. When I talked to him Sunday, he indicated he was heading to 29 Palms the next week. I sure hope so as I think he is getting a little lazy. lol

Hello everyone,

My son called me last night and informed me they got moved to another barrack.  He also was going to Bravo Company but still does not know when he will start classes.  He thinks at the end of month.  Said there are 100+ in Bravo Company.

He texted me today @11:00am New Mexico time and said they sat in fromation since 7:00am California time.  He didn't know why.

Our son is Bravo too - do you have an address yet?  if so, could you message me with it - I would love to send something for valentines - though it might get there late.  Thanks.

Hello Everyone, Our Marine just was picked up last Thurs after graduating Nov 29. He was always complaining about standing in formation for hours!! Just to keep them busy I guess. He was told they will grauate in May.....he is 0612.

thank you.

My son is also in BMAT at 29 Palms.  Just received phone call from him.  His class pickup date is for the 23rd.  He and we are very relieved about this, he was really getting bored having been there since Jan. 4th.  The original scuttlebutt was a 2 month wait.  According the web, the school is 42 days, so they should be graduating near the end of April.

As a retired Air Force airborne RO, I am enjoying sharing com talk with him.

Good luck to all you future RO's

The only change if they get there own po box after there name and before the box number they add a LOC # ______ MCCES
