An Outreach Program of MarineParents.com
Anyone with a Marine (past, present, future) please join the discussion group. My son was the ONLY Marine from MCT to be sent here and it is extremely difficult to obtain info from him (as I hardly hear from him) He will not start classes until after the holidays (so if ur Marine is in the next MCT graduating class and assigned here - great).... We r like the "blind leading the blind"... LOL.... Would appreciate any/all help if ur son was or is at this school..... As I can see, we r a select few.... :)
From the what's after boot page, Ft. Gordon has a detachment page on FB. The link is listed here as well as the MARDET site link too.
Here's the direct link to the MARDET site.
From reading this (Reply by AA*VA on April 17, 2013), the course s 3 months.
Hi MFP1212, in your email, you said something about being a poolee or are you a poolee parent? Couldn't quite make that out. Either way Ft Gordon is a three month training program which is run out of an Army Base for Comm in Augusta, GA. And yes, you can wait a long time for the pickup. I remember my son was held at the SOI doing alot of guard duty until the class formed, he was very bored, but it is all part of the training learning to wait. Let me know what else you need to know and will do my best to dredge up the answers.
Just joined this site and looking to get a bunch of information on the 0627 MOS school. I realize this group hasn't been written in, in a while but hoping you guys might get the notification or something. One of the first things is, how long is the school once it picks up? And also, is there a new updated site, or link to graduation dates for the MOS school in 2015, as I see a bunch of you said your Marines had to wait for class to pick up.
Thanks for any help in advance.
