Toys for Tots receives truckload of toys from MCCES

The formation of 1,626 Marines seemed to go on forever as they poured out of the Marine Corps Communications-Electronics School during the Toys for Tots Run at the Combat Center, Dec. 4.

My Marine was told he would have a 3 week wait once he got there. He was only in MAT for 2. So many things factor into the wait period, the availability of instructors, the amount of Reservists, the class sizes, that it is hard to know.  I do remember that I got an e-mail from is Co. Commandar with his address when he classed up. We had already gotten our own P.O. box by that time but I still thought it was a nice gesture.

From what I have read, waiting in MAT can be awhile. Be sure you tell your Marine to volunteer for any work parties to stay busy.

Best of luck class begins soon.

Well, T made it to 29 Palms and has gone through receiving week. He is now in the MAT platoon and has no idea when classes will begin. Anyone else with a marine in the MAT platoon at 29 Palms?

There are PDS groups here on MFN too.

Here is the direct link for MCB Lejeune.

Thank you for your prior Corpsmen service... we love our Docs!! Even though this says 'parents of' anyone is welcome to follow this Navy Corpsmen group.

I'm pretty sure my son said his MOS was 0621 with the secondary being 0622. Maybe it was the other way around. He mentioned that not all went on to 0622 but most did from his class. I guess the reasoning is that there are many in 0621 but not many in 0622 so they try to get some trained in that area as well.
