The MN and W WI support group is still meeting every 1st Saturday of the month.   I see a sigh of relief on shoulders that walk through the door.  It's so good for all of us to be with others who truly understand what it's like to have a child in the Marine Corps.   We're open to moms of potential recruits, recruit moms, Marine moms, wives, girlfriends, aunts, grandmas.  If interested, please feel free to contact me.  No one should have to follow their children on the path of yellow foot prints without having others to lean on and learn from.   That's why I'm so grateful to MFN and   They have truly helped me and brought me into sisterhood with some wonderful women.

Posted in Honoring Vets by Tim Hudak

On this Veterans Day, we salute our Veterans and extend our gratitude for their service. They are our relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers. These individuals committed to a cause larger than their own and accepted the challenge to defend our Nation.

Find Veterans Day 2015 ceremonies and events below. Don’t see your communities? List it in the comments and we will post it here.

Remembering Our Fallen

“Remembering Our Fallen” is a war memorial that consists of individual state memorials created to remember our country’s Fallen from The War on Terror since the Twin Towers fell on September 11, 2001. But unlike most war memorials made of brick and mortar, these are designed to travel so that more people can have the opportunity to remember our Fallen while being reminded of the tremendous cost of our freedom. Its legacy will be that these men and women will be remembered and their names will be spoken.
