I found that adhering to the KISS theory wroked the best. The simplest explanation usually is the best explanation.

Thanks Keri and Alex2Toes, I was thinking the worst. I feel better now.I have already started writing.

I agree, the phone call is more of "I'm here" call and since you know he is there, just go on from where you are now. Write, write, write! Mail is very important to rectuits.

That first phone call has its "bad" points.
http://www.recruitparents.com/bootcamp/first-phone.asp

Did he have the home phone on speed dial in his phone? Maybe he was nervous and calling with a lot of yelling going on, he may have misdialed or even forget the number. Recruits only have a few seconds to dial and read the script. It happens more then we'd like.
Since you have the form letter you can start flooding him with letters.
Hang in there, hold onto "no news is good news" now. If you don't get a call now, you know he is ok.

Thoughts with prayers through his boot training.

MTGMOM, no it takes a little while as they try to thoroughly vet people. If you do not hear anything by next week, use this link,

http://marinefamilynetwork.com/profiles/members/

And contact the "Featured Member" that is an Admin on that group.

I went to the Facebook page yesterday and am still waiting for approval.  Is there anyway for someone to contact me and let me know what you may need to give me the approval?

In November we have one day for giving thanks, two for getting deals and a day to give back. Be a part of this global celebration of generosity by joining Marine Parents today as we make it a happy holiday season for our Marines.   Read here what your gift does for our Warriors:                                                                             http://marineparentsinc.com/givingtuesday.asp
