Does anyone know if tickets for Disneyland or for other discounted activities need to be purchased at Camp Pendleton or at the individual locations?

hi calliej, when you get to the theme park the marine has to present his military i.d. an will get the discount.

Im not sure when your marine will be here but in sometime in nov, knotts berry farm gives a great deal. its something like he  and one other get in free and he can buy up to I think 5 tickets for something like 15.00. they do that at knotts every year. double check it as far as the prices. you can go on the website or call

theresa

It depends on where you're going. I believe you do have to purchase Disneyland tickets in advance at the ITT office on base. I think the San Diego Zoo and Sea World give discounts at the gate.

my son didn't have to do that, BUT rules do change all the time. I think your best bet is to call d-land and find out for sure.

Calling ahead is always your best bet. Also, the discount tickets available on base can often be used by any friends or family as long as the Marine is with you.

Thank you for the info.  We will be going on base, so we will get the tickets there just to be safe.  :)

Just in case anyone comes back to this thread for information.   The ticket office was closed when we went on base, I called Disneyland and they told us we could get our tickets at the gate.  We did get our tickets at Disneyland.

My marine said he got into the San Diego Zoo last weekend for free as active military (stationed at CP).
