I have not been communicating on this message board since my son left on Nov. 14 because I have been on the Feb. 10, 2012 - Hotel Co. message board with other families around the country whose son left on the same day. I would like to know if there is anyone in the northern suburbs of Chicago whose son might be graduating from bot camp on Feb. 10. We are from Libertyville.

I am a Marine Mom from the southside of Chicago, my son is from the Oak Lawn Recruiting office he is now stationed at Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, I am so happy that while my son's family is building mine is as well!! I will be so happy to receive a phone call from him and of course I can't week till week 10 when his platoons pic will be posted on Devil Dog!! I would love to come this Saturday but I am actually hosting a Platoon 13 parents BBQ at my home this Saturday as well in honor of our boys and the anniversary of 9/11, Please keep me posted on your next get together and I will do my best to get there

Hello Vici,

Recruit Mom Bravo also Lake County IL....Stamps and address labels are great for Recruits....My son always thanked me in his letters for the stamps....... Power bars....Just a heads up in case your son might request Power bars in a letter.....Wait until he asks though before you send any...Not all Platoons recive Power Bars.....
