MarineParents: Marine Family Network (MFN)

An Outreach Program of MarineParents.com

I'm tired of hearing about wives/daughters/sisters/aunts/grandma's/girlfriends/fiances, etc all the time. IT IS TIME THIS IS RESURRECTED. Here is the link to:

Dad's Roll Call Part II

Dads, let get back into the swing of things. Of course, the wives will try to take it over, they always have.

Good Luck keeping this "MEN ONLY"  ha ha
LOL - Good for you iansdad - I kinda felt sorry for you Dad's and brothers out there.  We women do take things over!  You guys need a place to talk too - Good Luck :) SemperFi!
I just want to say that I agree you men need a place to talk also. My husband has shed as many tears as I have over the past six months. I wish he would get on here and talk to you all. I think it helps tremendously but he won't. I guess maybe he thinks it's a woman thing or something.  lol  Sorry for the intrusion.....carry on. Semper Fi....do or die!
I'm here, too. By the way, 17s Mom (Julie) has an interesting blog about men that some of you might have missed. Check it out through Laura's post above. (Thanks Laura.)
IndianaMomBeth, tell him to get his b*$t on here. We're outnumbered and need reinforcements.

Thank you Double Dad, I had forgotten that one. So here, courtesy of Double Dad, are the "Man Rules"

Great idea I'm in. We put our son on a plane this afternoon for San Diego and School of Infantry West he reports tomorrow. Shed a few tears as I watched him walk through security. In 2 weeks we drop our youngest off at college and this house will seem empty.

I can't imagine- it was hard enough putting mine on a plane yesterday for SOI. Good luck to your son and prayers that his deployment goes smoothly

Putting my son back on a plane in a few hours to go back to Yuma.  He was home for 10 days on pre-d leave.  he leaves soon for Afghanistan.  Even though he's not infantry, it's getting very real...and very hard.

Infantry or non infantry, it does not make it any easier and I'm told 1st deployment or 5th deployment same not any easier.

Prayers
