A big yahwhooooooo for the new Marines. I had my porch light on for all of you tough young ones. Job well done !
Prayers out and lights up for Kilo, November and Extra Steppers! You can do this! OOH-RAH!
It is time dear Marine family and friends, AND to those that have gone before. As the Tradition Began with WD, A Marine Family Parent, just like You and Me, and US. WE HAVE A CLASS that are to Begin the Crucible, that 54 Hour Test that Defines a Marine. As they March into Those Woods, it is up to each of US, To Light a Candle, for it is the single flame within the night that defeats doubt, conquers concern, and brings them back to us....as Marines. During these Next 2 Nights, remember OUR PEOPLE, 3rd Bat. Kilo Co., 4th Bat. November Co., and Extra Steppers, Graduation 3/14/2014, Parris Island…
For this night, our fine Young People, at 0200 do begin... and WE, Very Proud Marine Parents, Aunts & Uncles, Grandparents, Wives, Husbands, Siblings, Children, and Loved Ones, Together, In Unison, can voice uplifting words for Our Marines in these Troubled Times and in our Troubled World, that they may find
God’s Grace and Esprit de Corps
Strong Will and Fierce Determination
Strength, Health, Honor and Courage
And always, always Good Luck
For it is that Light that comes, on the Dawn of that Third Day, taking that final hump back to the Prize for all that is.....that Shines over New Marines.
For Courage is endurance for one moment more …Unknown Marine Second Lieutenant in Vietnam.
You cannot exaggerate about the Marines. They are convinced to the point of arrogance, that they are the most ferocious fighters on earth – and the amusing thing about it is that they are. …Father Kevin Kearney, 1st Marine Division Chaplain, Korean War

He needs to set up his MyPay account. His W-2's are on line and he will access them through his MyPay account. If he has trouble setting up his account, he should have his NCO's help him.
Could I please ask a question, my son went to bootcamp November 18. He graduated on Feb 14 and while he was on leave we tried to find out about his W2, with no luck. Because of the short time, do they not get a W2? Can anyone help? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
sunshine, your question about Graduation is best asked in his MOS group. It is my understanding that they are pretty Short & Sweet and departure for PDS is within 2 hrs, less for many. The way my son explained his was they formed up, were told they graduated, got on the buses and went to their various destinations. Ask in his MOS, it might be more than that now.

My son will be graduating from the aav school at pendleton the end of march. Does anyone know what the graduation day entails and his soon afterwards he would go to his permanant duty station?
darn these kids sure keep us on our toes! No matter what he chooses, it is his road in life. You are a great support or he wouldn't have even told you much. Keep the lines open and be there for him as you already are!
