The last packing day, so happy to be packing and sending care packages to our deployed troops but sad because this was the last day.
A reunion of pack day families is in the works for November.

Thanks for the interesting facts.  I had the privilege of being in Philadelphia for jury duty this past Tuesday.  I took a walk from the courthouse down Independence Mall to Independence Hall and the surrounding historic structures that the delegates lived in, socialized in and planned our futures.  I had shivers thinking that I was walking on the same grounds that those brave men walked so many years ago- very humbling!

Happy Fourth of July everyone!  Stay safe and fly those flags to honor the sacrifices our warriors have made and continue to make for all of us!

They are true heroes!

Did You Know That? Interesting Fourth of July Facts

DoD News, Defense Media Activity

The Fourth of July makes us think of a lot of things: Barbeques. Parades. Fireworks. Lots of red, white and blue. Will Smith’s movie “Independence Day.”

Oh yeah, and the freedom that our founding fathers declared to the world 239 years ago.

While the date July 4, 1776, is ingrained in most of our memories, here are some cool facts you may not know about the holiday:

Another Warrior Games came to a close. What a great event, I hope to see more of the competition next year.

Thanks.  These warriors are inspiring, God Bless 'em.  Oh, and nice to see the British in the mix.  Last year my sister across the Pond gave me and my Marine 'Help for Heroes' gear.  Their version of Wounded Warriors.  Whatever we do cannot repay their service.
