My son is also in MRP. Has a stress fracture in his left foot.  Was supposed to graduate Jan 13th. He was dropped on Jan 4th the day before he was to begin Crucible. I am so glad I found this thread!! Was feeling all alone, but know now I am not.

Hi! Tylersmom - My son was supposed to grad. on Dec. 21st. but he was put in MRP on Dec. 7th. He has a fracture at the top of his femur.  I know how you feel.  This is his 2nd time in MRP.  They are giving him an ELS (which is an entry level sep.) Basically they are saying they don't want to take the chance that he will be hurt again, so they are sending him home.  He has been gone since July.  Naturally I can't wait to see him, but it hurts that he was so close to graduating. Your son will very likely heal well and fast, being able to return to training and graduate.  I will be praying for him.  It will be hard not to graduate with his friends but he will still get to see them later on.  My son attended the grad. that he was supposed to be a part of and said it was hard to watch.

Hi tylersmom

I too have a Tyler in MRP has been there since the second week on December or so with a stress frature in his upper femur.

Tylersmom- Hi!  My son was given an ELS and he was sent home yesterday.  I will get to see him today!!!

I will be praying for you.  Have you heard from Tyler recently.  I hope he heals fast!!

countrylovr--glad you will get to see your son today!!  Thank you for your prayers.  I have not heard anything from Tyler!! Can't believe I haven't gotten any mail from him.  Yesterday was really hard because it was his platoon graduation day. But today is another day and it will get better.

Sue-Hope your Tyler is doing well.  Do you have any idea when he will be able to return to training? Did you have trouble with mail when he first went into MRP? Sorry so many questions but I am searching for answers!!

Hello Sue,tylersmom, and countrylovr,

I too have a Tyler that was in MRP until Jan 12th when he was sent to RSP(recruit separation Platoon) he is coming home soon . I am just glad that this is almost over he mad it through receiving week and then on the 6th day of training he injured his shoulder about dec 11 He has been in MRP ever since. He was also very down while in mrp he said most everybody there was. They still have  DI and orders to follow, and are still in training as much as they can. MY question if anyone has an answer is I know they come on a bus but is it a greyhound bus or just one from PI. and tylers mom if you continue to use the same address you have they will forward his mail to mrp then when you get a letter from him it will have his mrp address. Prayers for all of your guys.

It is my understanding that it is a bus service such as greyhound.

Wow thats crazy!! so close. I think my son is in PCP now, but who knows. I got 5 letters today but they were written before he called on Tues. One good thing, he will probably be able to call more, if not definately more time to write. I know its hard. Do you know how long he'll be there??? Where are you from?

OMG I'm so confused with all these Tylers. Is any of your sons still in MRP or PCP in San Diego?
