what exactly can you send to your recruit in bootcamp? can i send sox & hygiene stuff? religous? can someone help me??? please!!!

I know it is hard you want to send them things but please know they have everything that they need, it is best to NOT send anything other than letters unless and until your recruit writes home and requests something.  So for now just send your recruit letters. Some families sent rosaries but that was about it for religious items. The chaplains hand out free bibles if you go to a service on Sunday, and you can buy a cross necklace at the px for a dollar that some wear on their dog tags. As for hygiene gear and socks, the drill instructors will make sure you have more than enough.
