My boyfriend just left for boot camp to san diego on November 28th . Its already a big struggle for me. Its both of our first time being in a serious relationship and him leaving sooner than we thought toughened things even more. Any advice?

Yeah its been great! We are all a huge support system . The funny thing is im going to meet up with one of the girls because her bf is at mcrd sd with my boyfriend but different plt! So already making plans! Once again i want to thank you for all the advice! At first everything seemed so hard and impossible. It has gotten better but i have those days where of course im down and discouraged but the page really helps motivate me to get up and live!

Hey Jesenia, I'm in the same exact situation right now so I know how you feel! My boyfriend and I got into our relationship and it got serious really fast, then he had to leave for boot camp! He's at mcrd sd too! I'm glad its gotten better, I know keeping busy helps me a lot. I'm glad I found this website, its also been helping when I have questions or start worrying about stuff that might happen. It's comforting to know that there are other people who are dealing with the same thing!

Yeah it is you should definitely join the facebook page for gf fiancees and wives of recruits /marines  (Official Group) ! Its so great you will never find such an amazing support group other than these girls. They have helped so much especially since some of us are going through the same thing or have already been through it. Youll have to be accepted after you try to join but no worries youll be accepted fast! Btw what company is ur bf in?

I'll join it now, thank you! And he's in Delta! I'm probably gonna try to join some Delta Co groups!

Hi It seems we're in the same boat. My boyfriend and I weren't together but a very short time and his ship date was moved up, he also left in November. The 14th. I started keeping a journal. I didn't want to send him letters of how hard it was with him being gone so I started a journal. I send really supportive letters as well as letters just simply detailing my day. Like if you were talking to him in person. It helps me cope I guess. Hope you're doing okay!
Im doing alright its just my bf has gotten injured twice already and its pushing back his grad date . Which makes things harder. But yeah you should join the fb group i mentioned about those girls are life savers! We are all here to help each other get through these tough times!
