I need help. My boyfriend just left for boot camp jam 31st . He is in South Carolina and I'm in nh! I have not received a letter yet. I don't have any info on graduation or what it's like or when or he said his training for his job should only be a month and a half . Should we get married after boot camp or after his job training ? And than how long after we get married do I have to wait to go live with him on base ?

Do you have a credit card or debit? Because that is more important than age. Many car rentals will rent to under 25.

You learn to rely on people in the Corps. You have to rely. That is why they have "battle buddies", they have someone to cover their 6. I brought up the sharing because you are only going to be there such a short time. Graduation is very fast & most guys want off that Island as fast as possible.

I just hate to see you spend all that money for 1 night.

He has to pay for his flight. He will be taken to a travel agency to make arrangements about his 10th week. The only way I know of for you to fly together would be if you made the reservations, which means you would be paying for it. As to if he would reimburse you or not is up to you & him to work out.

Yea I do have a debit card. And yea I know hopefully we'll work it out soon me and his aunt . He has 2 months and one week left lol I know seems like forever but not to me. And yes no I mean in the corps I'll rely but for the outside world not so much. And if he knew what time I got on my flight could he arrange that for the same flight and time ? Also you say graduation is fast that's good to know so I'll also need to figure out what time to book my flight back ? Do you know the exact times ?

here is a link about the graduation times.

You should check out the links offered on this page.

You can try giving him the information but since you will be using 2 different booking agents, at 2 different times, it is pretty hard to insure you get the same flight, much less adjorning seats.

And I forgot to tell you that it will take a while to get off the island, as everybody is trying to leave at once. So you will need to figure that delay into your schedule when you book a return flight. I know they told us in San Diego, not to book anything before 3 pm. Our Graduation ended at 12 or 12:30.

When your Marine goes on leave, all travel expenses are their responsibility and no reimbursement is provided. When they travel on orders, all "reasonable" travel expenses are either paid or reimbursed by the Corps.

The USMC will only reimburse "their cost" but the travel home is not "on orders" and is considered leave.

Since a Marine is on "10 days boot camp leave" when they go home after graduation, they are required to provide the Corps a copy of their itinerary and tickets for travel from boot camp to the leave location and for travel to SOI, but they must pay for the tickets. I read in another discussion that upon arrival to SOI, a member's Marine showed his receipt and was reimbursed.

You can book flight home so that you can be on the same flight, but you need to send your recruit a copy of the itinerary so that he can take this information to SATO

He wants the marines to pay for his flight back. I would still like us to fly together though that would be nice. I don't know I'm new to this so I didn't know it would be a far walk to get dropped off at the gates to the grad
So the only way we can be on the same flight at the same time is if I pay for it send a copy of the receipt to him so he show it to sato ? Can't I use sato to book a flight so maybe we can be on the same flight if he books it thru there ?

You can ask. But I am betting they will tell you that you will have to book them both.

Ohhh I understand. I just am not sure how to even use the website in general for sato.

calling would be best. lol

I need help ! Calling out to sato tomorrow to get some discounts for travel hotel and rental car. Any ideas ? And I need to buy my recruits ticket to fly back with me can I also do that thru sato ? I need to book soon 29 more days and he needs to let the admin people know soon he says ....
And I decided to go to family day !
