STATEMENT FROM THE COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE CORPS

Please know that the thoughts and prayers of all Marines and the American people are with you. Our Corps’ priority is to help the extended Pegasus family and MAG-24 through this challenging time.

My family wants to thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice. Your actions displayed the motto
taught at USMC boot camp: "Semper Fi." May you rest in peace knowing that your job was well done.

Your family will be in our prayers daily. We Marine families will make sure they know we are grateful
and offer our support.

To live in hearts we have left behind is not to die.   As Marine parents, we each mourn, but it's also a time

to celebrate their time amongst us.   They have not gone as long as we feel their presence in their lives,

as long as we listen for their voices within us, for as longas we touch the things they have touched, love the

friends they've loved, and as we continue to live, love, and dream as they might have done.
their voices within us, as long as we touch the things they touched, love the friends they loved, and
as we do here, do what they might of done.

Praying for peace to bring comfort and courage to face the days ahead with loving memories for always. Together we mourn as one Marine family. My sincere condolence and continued prayers to face one day as it comes.
In sympathy,
