My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Lcpl Eugene C. Mills III.  Once again we learn the high cost of our freedom and liberty which these young men and women sacrifice for.  Let us never forget them and I pray that God provides the peace that passes all understanding to you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of another one of America's heroes, LCpl. Eugene C. Mills III.  May his family, friends and brothers-in-arms take some measure of comfort in knowing that all over America people are mourning with them and praying for them. Their hero will not be forgotten.

Our hearts are grieving for your family.  Our words seem so shallow in this time of sorrow.  We will ensure Eugene will be remembered for his selfless service.  He will never be forgotten.  We pray for peace for your family and for his brothers still in conflict.

Our family's thoughts and prayers are with the Mills family. There are no words to express how sorry we are. My daughter and I know Eugene's brother, and know how much he loved and admired Eugene. Please find some comfort in knowing that LCpl. Mills died a hero, doing what he wanted to do. We thank him, and his family for their sacrifice.

LAUREL, Md. - Gene Mills walked out his front door on Father's Day 2008. He grew up in Laurel, graduated from High Road Academy, and before he turned 18 his dad signed the papers for him to join the U.S. Marines. It’s a mission he had since 9-11.

No condolences could ever fill the hole you must be experiencing. As a mother of a Marine in Afghanistan, I know these guys are doing what they believe in and have chosen to do for their country and fellow Marines. May God stand with you in your loss and may you know His deep abiding love.
