DOD Identifies Marine Casualty

The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

Capt. Joshua C. Pairsh, 29, of Equality, Ill., died Jan. 22 in the United States of a non-combat related illness. He was assigned to 4th Civil Affairs Group, Marine Forces Reserve, based out of Washington, D.C.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know that Capt. Joshua C. Pairsh will remain in your hearts forever, and in ours, as a true Hero. With heavy heart, I send my deepest sympathies and my prayers for the family and friends of Joshua.

~Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal~ Unknown

My thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of Capt Pairsh. So heartbreaking he suffered such a battle so far away while fighting to keep terror from our shores. May you always know our nations gratitude for your hero was our hero, too. His noble service and sacrifice forever honored and never forgotten.
